When is the last time you’ve seen this in your email Inbox? Nothing. Nil. Nada. There was something weirdly satisfying when I moved the last email to its proper subfolder. I consider myself an organized person, but my Inbox has not been empty for years. Most of us have hundreds or even thousands of emails in our Inbox, which can quietly weigh on us psychologically. Each email I moved may still need attention later, but it’s not staring me in the face every time I open Outlook.
I work in IT and response time is important, so I can’t just ignore my Inbox or schedule time to review it. National Clean Out Your Inbox Week is usually the last full week in January but why wait? Any of you dealing with an Inbox that’s out of control? If not, how do you control it? I rely on rules, respond/delete, or move to subfolders.
Time will tell if I can keep it clean.
